Thanksgiving Recipe - Pumpkin Maple Pie

by Dragonfly Lady 8. November 2009 15:18

Everyone in the family is usually involved in some kitchen activity at Thanksgiving time. With this in mind whilst browsing my cook books the other day when I came upon this recipe for Pumpkin Maple Pie, I thought I'd share it with you.  It has all the ingredients being placed into one bowl to mix, then the mix poured straight into a pre-made or bought pie filling case, what could be easier!

Why not give it a try with your little ones and it you make it before me, send me a picture and I'll add it to this post for all our viewers to see!

Pumpkin Maple Pie Recipe

Ingredients

One 16 ounce can pure pumpkin

1 cup whipping cream

3/4 cup pure maple syrup

3 large eggs

1 tablespoon all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Pinch of salt

One unbaked 9inch piecrust (either pre-made or bought)

Preheat Oven 350 degrees.

Method

Whisk all of the ingredients together in a large bowl well blended. Then, pour into the unbaked pie crust.

Place on the middle shelf and bake for 55 minutes or until the filling within is set.

Serve your Pumpkin Maple Pie at your Thanksgiving table with a spoon of cresh cream, enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog! Yes, my boy still needs to be the little lump we brought home from the birth center. I miss those days!

This pie looks wonderful! I've never tried maple in it before! I am always looking for new recipes to try!
