I accidentally ran into Donna aka Butterfly Lady in a Taco Bell. I began talking to her because she was wearing butterfly glasses, butterfly pin, and a butterfly ring. I asked her if she liked butterflies and that was the beginning of an amazing conversation with her. She is a remarkable woman to talk to and has done many many things in her life and works. I felt that running into her was a sign from up above because my son, who is 12 years old, loves to write and he has written his first book and is working on his second book. Donna told me that she knows of a children's book publisher. I wasn't ready at the time, due to my son was still working on his book. I am now ready to contact a publisher and learn what I need to know regarding finding an honest publisher and copywright for my sons books. I am planning on getting back in touch with "The butterfly lady" and see what information she can provide to me. She is now 71 years old. She is definitely 71 years young and still going strong. I know that God has blessed her in a special way and I love the inspiration she gives to children.

great advice- I am seeking filing angles of various tools and haven't found a chart yet. Specifically, my hoe and swing blade. I often do things the old fashioned way, it's greener and quieter. So, far I got my hoe sharp enough to shave with! Well, a little exaggerated. Observation is the key. It's a lost art.

I once took a picture of a couple of ducks in a park in Eugene, Oregon. I took the picture because they were such Unusually Ugly ducks - now I know what they were. Thank you!

Unusually unattractive. I wonder if it leads to insecurities. :) Great shot.

I'm happy that you explained this. the park zoo by my daughters house has what must be one of these. It does not have the red wattles but has the dark glossy blackish green body and wings that stick straight out like a helicopter. I believe it is a female by the way it acted around the male turkeys. We have been speculating what kind of strange cross breed it might be. Someone feeding the zoo animals tried to tell us it had to much milk when it was a baby??? The wings are either broken or a genetic deformity. But the tail looks more like a female turkey or pea hen then it does a duck, I can see in your photograph the Muscovy has the same kind of tail so at last the mystery is explained. It's a Muscovy gone wrong.
